Joe the Quilter
Joe Cunningham has a show at the Copper Country Community Art Center. His quilts are clever, colorful, and beautiful. I was lucky enough to be able to meet Joe in the fiber studio and see him speak this morning at the art center. He’s funny, irreverent, and he kind of knows everything about quilts.
I love this one— ‘Up the Stream of Good Intentions’

All knitted up! The colors in my handspun are glowing in this Lacy Baktus scarf. I knit this for the Ravelympics, lace luge and scarf super g events.
Hell’s bells
I’ve been commissioned to create 3 hanging sculptures for a hotel, but I can’t figure out what material to use. I have a meeting tomorrow to discuss some options, but WORK!!! YES! I’m exploring porcelain and paper as possibilities.
